I paint in watercolour with ink. My favourite subjects are the patterns and designs that I see in flowers and local landscapes. I enjoy the bold, bright colours that these subjects offer me.

My textile art is influenced by the same subjects as my watercolour however stitching allows me to enhance texture and pattern.

I studied textile design for my Degree at Art School followed by a commercial career. When I returned to Art I worked initially in watercolour and after a while I also began to work with my first love, textiles. With retro styles now in fashion I have been particularly working on projects inspired by the designs of the sixties and seventies.

I exhibit paintings and textiles in various Cheshire venues. I will be in the Macclesfield Silk Mill and the Warrington Museum this summer with the experimental stitch group Threadmill.

Style: Textile, vibrant colours

Media: Watercolour and textiles.

Price Range: £80 to £200
