Ann Roach

My work is driven by the inspiration of the energy, atmosphere or specific character of my subject - figure, flower or place. I use a range of materials, usually waterbased, often allowing the image to flow over onto the mount.

I studied in Kent before travelling to East Africa. There, whilst raising a family, I undertook illustrating commissions & taught Art in secondary schools. I have been teaching Art to Adults in Cheshre for about 28 years, with popular demonstrations & workshops in demand. I have also participated in the production of several books on art techniques.

Although fairly representational, the approach is fresh and free.
