I work from my studio in the Peak District where I look out over Kinder Scout. My immediate environment is the inspiration for many of my designs. We are surrounded by sheep, mainly Derbyshire Gritstones, and they feature in many of my designs as do the various breeds of hens that we keep. I am a keen walker and spend every Wednesday taking photographs of local glorious rural landscapes which I then develop into linocuts.

I print the linocuts by hand. I build up the final image by using the reduction method where the lino block is cut away after each layer has been printed. Editions are limited to between 10 and 25 original prints.

I am a member of High Peak Artists and exhibit regularly at the Gallery in the Gardens, Buxton Pavilion.

Media: Linocuts
