My pieces are quite simple in form but I love trying to create texture on my work and I achieve this through the use of hammering and polishing techniques as well as using high temperatures to change the surface and colour of the silver.

Nature is a very strong influence on my work and whenever I go out walking in the hills I find myself looking at the stones, tree bark, the lichen and the ripples in the streams which give me my design ideas.

Making silver jewellery can be frustrating and rewarding at the same time but when I see someone getting pleasure out of wearing something I have made it is worth all the hard work I have put into it.
