I have been fortunate enough to paint watercolours full time for over thirty years.

I find ordinary streets, factories and towns as rewarding to paint as grand mountains, cathedrals and lakes. Living in Disley and walking in the Peak and Lake district provides a wealth of inspiration. My detailed style encourages recognition of place and a personal involvement for the viewer and often promotes memories and stories. The painting then truly has a life of its own.
