My work is predominantly unglazed, allowing every smudge and fingerprint to remain visible like a timeless reference of a human touch. I work with water etching, coloured clays, oxides, aggregate additions, smoke firing and any other method which grabs my attention. I fluctuate between vessels, wall art and the human and animal form. The beauty of clay is its versatility; I can be meticulously etching details into the finest translucent porcelain in the morning and then manhandling a sculpture in the afternoon.

I’m like a child in a candy shop forever tasting the endless possibilities that the world of ceramics offers, everyday is a learning curve, every kiln opening a mixture of anxiety and excitement and with every success a whole new corridor of doorways open.
